Wilhelm Beigel (right) with cousins or friends on vacation at a resort in Krynica, Poland. The Beigels were a prominent Jewish family from Vilna. Wilhelm’s mother’s family owned the Hotel Bristol, the largest hotel in Vilna. His father, Ferdinand, was an officer in the Polish Army.
