Pupils of the Beys Yankev School with glasses of milk
Poland, Circa 1930s. School Children
Pupils of a Beys Yankev religious girls’ school posing with glasses of milk in Poland. The Yiddish sign reads: “Beys Yankev. Let us walk in G-d’s light.” This photograph was taken outside because the photographer did not have enough light to take a picture indoors. The photo was probably staged to send to a benefactor who paid for daily milk for the students.
