Girls from a Central Education Committee (TsBK) Yiddish school performing a folk dance on the stage of the Folks Theater on a winter Sabbath in Vilna. Dance, music, and art were integral parts of the curriculum of the modern, secular TsBK schools. Notice the audience members are wearing hats and coats. That indicates that the theater was unheated.
