Announcement for the Liquidation of the Łódź Ghetto

Łódź, Poland, 1944. Announcement

At the instruction of the Mayor of Litzmannstadt, the ghetto will be evacuated. “The [plant] crews will go as units together with their families.” 5,000 persons must report daily and the luggage is not to exceed 20kg per person. The first transport includes plants 1 and 2 (tailor shops), and it will leave from the Radegast (Radogoszcz) depot on Aug 3rd at 8 am. The deportees are to report at 7 am at the railroad station.
